Resuming My Love for Writing and Storytelling: A Personal Reflection

A person sitting at a desk, writing or typing, with a look of concentration or inspiration.

After a long break, I'm finally getting back to my love for writing and storytelling. Life has been pretty busy with work and personal stuff, but I've always been curious about the wisdom people share through their stories and content. Their experiences inspired me, and I kept jotting down ideas, reminding myself why I started this blog in the first place.

Working with authors who shared their experiences on this blog has been amazing. I can't wait to keep collaborating and try out new formats—like podcasts, YouTube, and Instagram videos.

Recently, I felt stuck because of the pressure to be super creative. I kept comparing my work to the high standards I wanted to achieve, which ended up blocking my creativity. To get past this, I started reading again. Books like *The Picture of Dorian Gray*, writings by Leo Tolstoy, *Notes from the Underground* by Dostoevsky, *Letters to a Young Poet*, and Agatha Christie's novels reignited my passion for writing.

Now, I'm planning to make short videos for Instagram using my current skills. I'll mix my narration with visuals, like stock images or news articles, to effectively communicate topics and messages.

I'm also focusing on refining my niche. This blog has covered everything from urban planning to poetry to personal reflections. A close friend recently suggested I create more content related to my professional work in waste management and the circular economy. It's my unique strength and essential for positive change. I loved the idea and am excited to make content about plastic waste issues, extended producer responsibility (EPR), and environmental policy in India.

My goal is to develop a strategy for this content, aiming for consistency and not worrying too much about what others think. Honest communication and staying true to my creativity will guide me. By focusing on my own satisfaction with what I create, I'll be more open to feedback and criticism. I believe honesty is a guiding light during tough times.

After this break, I'm excited to get back to storytelling, professional learning, social messaging, creative writing, and poetic expressions. This journey of understanding myself and refining my niche will be incredibly rewarding [I believe so].

Wish me luck!
